We have been receiving calls and messages from
2015/2016 JAMB UTME applicants regarding the
official cut-off mark of various universities,
polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria.
We are happy to inform all JAMBites that JAMB
has finally announced the cut-off marks that
would be used for this year’s admission exercise.
After the 2015 combined policy meeting on
admissions to degree, National Certificate of
Education, NCE and National Diploma, ND,
Awarding institutions, the Permanent Secretary,
Federal Ministry of Education, Dr MacJohn
Nwaobiala, said “So what we did today is to
ensure that we clearly agree on the procedures
and timeline and other issues relating to
admission in our tertiary institutions. And the
most important is that we have agreed on a
deadline, when admission would be completed.
We agreed that all admission process should be
completed by 31st of October, 2015. Very
importantly we also agreed on a cut-off mark,
just like last year, for degree awarding courses it
was agreed 180 marks and for non degree
awarding courses 150 marks. Admission would
be based on ration 60:40 in favour of science
courses to Art courses and ration 70:30 for
courses in Technology and non technology
